Center City...Three Sartorial Amigos (1/25/08)

I was walking down Walnut St. late friday night when I crossed three well-dressed twenty-somethings exiting Alma de Cuba. Before their nightcap sipping on mojitos, sangria and indulging on melon ball shots, they spent their evening enjoying cigars at Mahogany on Walnut. Each of their outfits displayed a sublime balance of refinement and youthfulness, class and personality.

A clean silhouette and sophisticated color choice. The pink tie attracts just enough of the right kind of attention.

Daring to mix a black shirt with shades of brown. The wingtips and  tweed vest are a nice touch. And who wears wool ties nowadays?

This young lady's skinny red belt- as she informed me- is really the strap to a purse. Genius. Clear example of how an outfit can bring out the personality instead of acting as a diversion for a lack thereof... Looks like Philadelphia's fashionable are giving New York a run for the most stylish city.
