Spring Awakening

The spring season is just around the corner and before we know it, we'll be trading in our pretty wool pashminas and suede riding boots for silk head scarves and gladiator sandals. The arrival of spring is my favorite time of year because of its versatility. The warm days beckon for charming sun dresses or cool linen shorts, while lightweight jersey wraps and swing jackets fend off the crisp air at dusk. Below are a few of my favorite things for this season!

Layers, anyone? Spring is a fabulous time for any budding fashionista to master the art of layering. This jacquard jacket can be worn over dresses, camis, or T-shirts. Feel free to mix patterns and textures for an unforgettable eclectic look. J. Crew Mosaic Jacket $300.

Cardigans, capris and bermuda shorts. In a season of infinite possibilities, sometimes it's nice to have just one. The signature Sheath Dress is exactly that. A classic silhouette that is undeniably chic, it can be worn with simple diamond studs or with semi-precious beads draped generously around your neck. Theory Cap-Sleeve Shift Dress $285

When painting the town red, pick this stunning peach dress! In a sea of safe black jersey dresses, you'll be sure to turn heads in this tight fitting bodice with shirred full skirt. Pair with a large gold cuff or a Malibu Bay Breeze. Nylon Tricot Figure Skating Dress, American Apparel $48

Give those Rainbow and Teva flip flops a rest. These metallic gold sandals instantly add glamour to any outfit while the low heel assures comfort after a full night out in your Louboutins. J.Crew Santorini sandals $88.
